1. Browse information about the field
Open the field details view - tap on the selected field displayed on the map, or use the fields list. Next, tap the field name or swipe up.
Here, you will find information about the field size, crop, vitality, weather and field status.
Scroll down to access the Field activities section.
Use the Feed tab to browse through all significant changes and events concerning your field.
At the top of the list, you will see the most current news. Scroll down to access older information.
In the Feed, you can find information about:
- field creation date
- new scouting notes
- new tasks
- done tasks
- field status changes
- vitality increase / decrease
2. Set up the field status
Field statuses allow you and your team members to easily spot areas that require urgent attention. Status icons are displayed on the field list and in the field details view. Every time the status is changed, information about it appears in the Feed.
To add or change the status, tap on the selected field displayed on the map or use the fields list. Swipe up or tap the field name to enter the field details view. Next, tap on the status you want to assign:
- None
- Low
- Medium
- High
You can change the status as often as you need.
3. Add & access scouting notes
Scouting notes allow farm workers to communicate the issues concerning fields effectively, enabling efficient workflow and granting increased harvest and better crop protection. Thanks to the accelerated information flow, you can react on time, make informed decisions and assign the right people to solve particular problems. You can add the notes even offline. Once you open the SKYFLD APP when you are back online, the data you entered into the system will synchronize automatically - your notes will be visible to your team.
To add a scouting note from the field level, open the field details view and tap the plus icon.
Tap on the Scouting note.
Choose the note’s category and priority. You can also assign your team members. Add a description, set a pin or mark the area on the map. You can upload photos and attachments. Once you finish adding details, tap the Save button.

You can access the Scouting notes from the Feed, field details view or the Scouting view.
4. Add & access tasks
Thanks to the tasks feature, you can delegate work, get information about the completion and track all field operations in one place. Assign tasks to employees, set deadlines and get feedback once tasks are completed! You can add the tasks even offline. Once you open the SKYFLD APP when you are back online, the data you entered into the system will synchronize automatically - the tasks you created offline will be visible to your team.
To create a task from the field level, open the field details view and tap the plus icon.
Tap on the Task.
Select the type of Work order or Field activity.
Set the deadline, assign team members and define priority. Add a description, set the pin or mark the area on the map. You can upload photos and attachments. Once you finish adding details, tap the Save button.

You can access the Tasks from the Feed, field details view or the Tasks view.
5. Share your fields
Instead of copying and pasting data concerning your fields to external files, you can invite farm workers, office secretaries, crop advisors and other people essential to your business to join your farm using the SKYFLD APP or the desktop version of the tool.
With the access levels, you control who can see or edit given fields and information.
To share a field, enter the field details view.
Tap on the selected field displayed on the map or use the fields list. Next, tap the field name or swipe up.
Tap the icon.
Now, decide if you want to invite a new team member or share the field with an existing one. Tap on the selected option.
Invite a new team member
To invite a new team member, decide how you want to share an invitation. You can enter the e-mail or share a link via any messaging app you use.
Choose the access level:
- Decide whether you want to share only the selected field or the entire farm with all the fields created in the future. Tap the Access to selection field to open the settings. Tap on the checkboxes next to the fields you want to share.
To proceed, tap Confirm.
- Choose what kind of actions your new team member should be able to perform. Tap the Restrictions selection field to display the available options.
- Set the user role. Roles are not associated with any restrictions. These labels allow you to recognise team members easily. Tap the Role in farm selection field to display the available options.
Once you fill in all the details, tap the Share button.
If you share the invitation link, choose the app you want to use for sending it. The apps visible in that section depend on your device.
Share the field with an existing team member
If you want to share a field with someone you have already invited to collaborate with you in SKYFLD, tap on that person's name.
Now, you can change the access settings and tap the Save button to confirm.
If a team member has access to the entire farm, even new fields are available to that person. You don’t have to share a newly created field with such users again. |
If someone shares a field or farm with you, you will receive an invitation via email or any other messaging app you use. In the SKYFLD APP, the icon indicates shared farms.
6. Edit field details and delete a field
To edit field details, tap on the selected field displayed on the map or use the fields list. Next, tap the field name or swipe up.
Tap on the icon. Now, you can:
- Change the field name
- Change the crop
- Change or add the crop variety
- Enter the seeding date or use the Not seeded yet option
Tap the Save button to confirm the changes.
If you want to delete a field, tap the Delete field button and confirm your choice.
Remember that this action is not reversible - you will lose all data regarding the field!
